Property tax raise would help Montrose library expand business hours

MONTROSE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)– Library supporters are reaching out to voters in one community.

Issue 5A on the Montrose County ballot, asks for a .85 increase in property taxes which would raise around $440,000 extra a year for the library.

“We’ve been spending out of our reserve funds and those funds are drying up,” said Director of the Montrose Regional Library District Paul Paladino.  READ MORE
